My Top 10 Savasana Songs

Music plays such a huge role in my life, that it naturally influences my classes as well. My playlists are always thought through and usually timed with a sequence. When it comes to savasana, I am extra picky. Since I get asked about my savasana songs a lot, I’m sharing my favorites today!

Even though I use Spotify in my free time, I buy all the songs I use in class on iTunes for two reasons: Firstly, I still use my old iPod nano during class to avoid any nasty surprises during class with my phone. Secondly, as an amateur musician who has also done some home recording for fun, I know how much work goes into a good song and I am happy to support musical artists and their amazing work. Usually, one song costs 1 € so that’s easily affordable and my way to show some appreciation for someone else’s work.

You find all the songs ready to listen if you scroll down for the playlist. I really hope you find something to support your savasana!

My top 10 savasana songs

Savasana II – Gabriele Morgan

The perfect song when you want atmospheric background with some instrumental highlights in between!

Savasana – Josh Brill

The synthesizer here is slightly cheezy at first, yet at around 4:30 there comes a guitar sound that reminds me of sparkling waves. I like to use that song when I guide a visual meditation which includes a beach or water scenario of some sort.

Shavasana Sound Bath Therapy – Music for Deep Meditation

This one starts out with singing bowl sounds on an ambient background that fades into a heavenly om chant, finished with a soft steel-drum/hang part. Ideal for a long and yummy savasana.

The Oneness Om – Ananda Giri

A soft, monotonous ambient background with repeating male om chants. Simple but effective.

Infinite Beauty – Chanting Om with Overtones – Vidura Barrios

The title says it all, a blend of female and male om chants with lovely overtones.

I could hear the water at the edge of all things – Hammock

This song is used in the Forest Falls video with Dylan Werner and I absolutely adore it. An enchanting melody played by piano and strings with an incredibly touching peak. The end is an a cappella choir that gets straight into your heart.

Om Namah Shivaya – Benjy Wertheimer

One of the more typical “Indian” savasana songs: A lovely background with tanpura accompanied by a wonderful esraj melody and a deep male voice chanting om namah shivaya. Very calming!

Gift of peace – Marina Raye

Soothing nature sounds and an incredibly enchanting flute melody!

These last two songs aren’t on Spotify but I like and use them so much that I’m sharing the soundcloud link here:

OM Meditation – Lex van Someren

This whole album is perfect to sink deeply into a calm state of mind. The low-pitched chanting intensifies and gets higher throughout the album.

Savasana – Ananda Giri

I couldn’t find the single track on Spotify nor Soundcloud, the song starts at 40:22. It is an enchanting yet soothing flute piece which leads perfectly into final relaxation.

Thank you so much for taking the time to check out this post!

Much love,
